Daily daan · the wheel of the nine grahas

DaanChakra

Spin the wheel once a day. Where the pointer stops is your daan for today: a traditional offering for one of the grahas, or a seva that costs nothing. Give what you can, then mark it done.

How it works

  1. Spin once a day. Tap the wheel or the button; it turns and slows to a stop.
  2. Read your daan. The slice under the pointer names a graha, what is traditionally given for it, and a seva that costs nothing.
  3. Give, in your own way. How much is entirely up to you: a handful of grain, one meal, an hour of your time. Give it to someone who needs it.
  4. Mark it as done. Your streak and your last seven days are kept in this browser. Come back tomorrow for a new spin.

The eight slices of the wheel

Each graha has things traditionally given in its name, usually on its own weekday. Rahu and Ketu, the two shadow grahas, share one slice. On the wheel, today’s graha is marked with a star.

Why daan matters

Daan, giving without expecting anything back, is one of the oldest duties in Indian tradition. The scriptures praise anna daan, giving food, above most other gifts, and gupt daan, giving quietly without telling anyone, as the purest kind. In Jyotish, giving the things linked to a graha is a common remedy, done to honour that graha and to turn the mind toward others.

Giving well

Give to someone who needs it. Give food that is fresh and things in good condition: what you would use yourself. Give with respect, so the person never feels small. What counts is the intention and the act, not the size of the gift.

DaanChakra is a reminder to give, not a prediction or a promise. It does not guarantee any astrological result and does not replace medical, financial or other advice. This site never asks for or handles money, and recommends no organisation.

Your spins and done marks are kept only in this browser. The site counts only that a wheel was spun or a daan marked done, with no details.
