How the predictions are made
Vedic astrology times events with the Vimshottari dasha: your life is divided into planetary periods (Mahadasha) and sub-periods (Antardasha), fixed at birth by the Moon’s nakshatra. A period brings up what its planets stand for in your chart: the houses they sit in and rule, and the houses of their nakshatra lord. This page scores every sub-period of your life for nine areas and adds the slow transits that astrologers use to pinpoint the year: the Jupiter–Saturn double transit, Sade Sati, Dhaiya and the Saturn, Jupiter and Rahu returns.
Why check the past first
Astrologers test a chart on known events before trusting it for the future, because a birth time that is a few minutes off can move the dasha dates and the Lagna. Mark each past window as matched or not; if most match, the forecast is built on a sound chart. If few match, the birth time may need correcting.
How to read the windows
A window is the time when an event is most strongly indicated, not a promise that it will happen. Favourable means the period lords are strong and well placed; testing means more effort, delays or stress. Free will, family circumstances and the choices you make matter more than any chart.
