Chitra is the 14th of the 27 nakshatras. It spans 23°20′ Kanya – 6°40′ Tula of the sidereal zodiac, is ruled by Mars in the Vimshottari Dasha system, and its presiding deity is Tvashtar (Vishwakarma), the divine craftsman. A child born with the Moon in Chitra has the Moon in Kanya or Tula.
